A Constant module that bundles with an independent switch |
 |
|
Time for another wish...one of my 3 was useless ...so this is the replacement.
A constant module with an independent switch that allows to make better use of the G2 interface. Very often i came in situations where i wanted to have a switch related to a constant value and had to use 2 knobs on the G2 for that... one for the constant module and one for whatever trigger related to the before selected value. What a waste of a nice knob/button combination in such situations.
The switch maybe should only have an control output to control value switches and should have 3 stages that toggle like you find in the patch settings menue for a lot of functions. The switch should have namefields.
So 3 namefields one knob and 2 outputs for the module.
I am also fine with 2 or 4 switch steps but i know 3 step switches from a lot of hardware applications.. The typical up, zero, down thing.
but 2 steps would be fine allready and would comunicate better with the led of the button.
The poll is for a combined Constant switch module in any form..
Just a module that allows to use knob and button independent. |

I have needed this imaginary feature already. It would be handy for controlling variations of multiple patches in the global mode of a performance using those buttons below the knobs.
edit: better yet, it would be great to assign those buttons below the knobs indepedent of the knobs themselves. Assigning the knob of a module without a button or switch wastes the use of the respective hardware button below the hardware knob. |
