G2-Independent Clock/Logic?

Thanks everyone in advance - I've read the manual. Very often, I am putting together instruments/sequencers on my laptop "on the road" away from my G2X. I would like to be able to check logic/midi flow with a clock signal to check my setup independent of having to be plugged into the G2X - for example, make sure the logic and midi are triggering envelopes at the desired time in a sequence, etc. If there isn't a way to do that, it sure would be great to be able to add this to the software editor
