Editor feature to stop variation changes from incoming MIDI

When I work on patches that receive variation changes over MIDI I would like to have a button in the editor that could stop such messages to variate.

Having such a feature would make it easier to get the variations OK before they jump to away., things get really messy sometimes now.

Yes, this would make patching easier, or at least make debugging patches easier. Laughing

How many states..? As in stop and hold last value.. or no value at all..

Yes, I think it should be per patch, so in a performance some slots could be enabled and others not. To me, debugging performances is where this would be the most handy.

Well what if it was like everything else in the editor? You could just assign whatever MIDI message you want to the Variations. That would solve both our problems (see "Exend Variation Control").
