Well. after buying the WSG pcb and front panel last year, I've finally gotten round to populating the board this weekend and am nearly finished stage 1 (3 caps and 2 diodes to go).
I had to buy a new variable temperature soldering iron because my old one wasnt getting hot enough, but this is a dream to use. I can also recommend a powered de-soldering pump for these...embarrassing moments.
I'm trawling around looking for a box or enclosure to put the WSG in, but so far no joy -maybe a trip to IKEA is on....
Next stage is the wiring to the panel, and then a test!
(The multimeter is on standby Wink )

Having finished the board and sourced the last few pots, I managed to get a cigar box for £1.50 from a local shop which is almost a perfect fit for the WSG panel-result! Soaked it for an hour in warm water to remove the paper. Its a bit flimsy, but should hold together ok (!). Wiring the miniature pots to the board will be a bit of a pain, but the end is in sight.
Weird (No) Sound Generator? Hope not! Laughing

nearly finished the panel wiring but these miniature pot terminals are a bitch to solder multiple wires to!

That looks great!

I just ordered a WSG PCB -- I'm building one for my granddaughter.

She already told me what color she wants -- a yellow case with purple lettering. Smile
