n voice, multi midi channel/pitchbend receiver

Hi Everyone,

This is a request from a midi guitar player. Midi guitars can transmit 6 channels of midi, one for each string. Each channel has its own pitchbend information.

It would be nice if a single G2 could accept this type of input on a single slot.

Yes, this feature would be just great, not just for your application. Pitchbend is a special MIDI signal that could be overloaded for many high resolution uses.

There are more midi guitarist around than we think as Roland has been continuously selling models since the beginning of midi. the problem with Roland is they have been reducing the "synth" features with each new model to the lame GM romplers that we have now (Gr30/33).
This to say that Clavia with some small adjusting (Midi mode4 (omni Off Mono) http://www.philrees.co.uk/articles/midimode.htm#moon
and some marketing in the right circles could sell a bunch of engines easily, as as I said, there is actually NO real synth/expander that has some Midi guitar appeal. not speaking about the wide effect & tweaking capabilities of this beast.
