Is there any such thing as a 3 way toggle switch? "Single-pole-double-throw" I can never remember which is what!? Triple pole, single throw? Or is it single pole, triple throw?
my circuits are overloading! Help!

Some configurations:
SPDT is - - -
DPDT is = = =
SPST is - -
The double throw can be on/on (or on/off, depending on how you wire) on/off/on. _________________ -Mike Walters

If this is for what I think it is, make sure you get one that doesn't revert back to the centre when you release the switch. My LFO's waveform selecter was like that for a while - really made it a 2 hand job when you wanted access to the rect LFO waveform |

Yeah, if I remember right, I think the DPDT (on/off/on) switch for the LFO makes the off position default a triangle wave, and then the 2 on's have diodes to only allow the polarities of the ramps go one of 2 ways. Like this:

No it wasn't but thanks for the tip anyway. What I was getting at was having a ring mod out on osc 2. So for eg, having square, saw and ring outs instead of just the former two.
But, I have noticed the lfo panel bug too.
While waiting for my press'n' peel's to come back from the printers, I've been designing my front panel- which is bloody hard work- as you most of you already know!
I've got to get a laser printer!

C&K model 7211 toggle switches can be used to do sp3t (single pole, three throw). a little pricey (like $7.50 from mouser in single quantities), but nice if you're trying to save space. i use them a lot for adding a third cap to the range select of oscillators.

bbob- you're a star (and welcome to the soundlab forum too)! You've answered both my questions perfectly.
Are you building a soundlab to? |

i built one when it first came out, pretty standard issue, there's a picture here (in the background, but i just love that pic... there's a couple other shots at the AHMW gallery that show more detail).
i have 2 more boards and plans for a dual patched-out version w/ a couple of joysticks for controllers. really a great project.

Is that your Son? I'm building 2 soundlab units. One for my 2 year old daughter and one for me. (honestly!)

Please let us see it when it's done :)
While I've been designing my front panel I've been toying with the idea of making an expander unit too with stranger functions. But I've got to get this one finished first!
