pt2399 trigger pulse delay?

just an idea. turn a trigger into a load of triggers.
could probably do away with alot of the normal filtering circuitry and just add conditioning stuff at the input and output. could be cool for generating weird drum fills etc
could be part of a janky drum machine or a euro module

Does this sound possible?

with a bit of tweaking I think that should be possible.
maybe use the trigger to ping a filter (like a simple filter based drum circuit) to get a useful signal for the delay, then use a comparator after the delay.
You should check first how well it responds to just inputting a trigger signal though, maybe that already works. (I think I might be able to do that)

I was actually wondering myself if it could be used for CV's but that's pretty much just a very low frequency signal most likely out of the range* of the
PT2399. I guess it could somewhat work for a limited range if you'd first convert it to a frequency and back to a votage after the delay like this:
(CV -> FREQ) -> PT2399 delay -> (FREQ -> CV)
probably won't get much interesting results from the PT2399 though because it has a pretty short delay time.


*Actually I have no idea what the frequency range of the PT2399 is, I guess that could be useful to know also for triggers. let me check,..
don't see it in the datasheet but from the graph found on this very useful page it does seem to go lower than I expected.

Usualy the longest delay time is considered 340msec, but that is for audio: for longer delay times the distortion is too much.
For use as a delay this is not a problem so my guess is that a delay of several seconds is possible.
