| So I'm a regular on the Moog Little Phatty Forum, but there just aren't enough posts there to keep me going. |

Welcome here!
What, other than your Phatty, do you play with? (musically, that is)
That comment could only occur on a forum like this, you know.
Anyway... Hi, and welcome. hope you like it here. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

YAW:
I dunno if we are that hot all things MLP yet( Moog Little Phatty ), but there sure are many happy owners of the MLP here. So, what you doing with it? Are you out of the cherish and hug phase? Like, you simply restrain yourself a bit and simply stick to the old animal sacrifices at dawn routine? _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

Ye Olde Infamouse List O' Gear:
Moog Little Phatty Tribute Edition #438
-love having a brand new Moog that has analog controls.
Roland JP-8080
-best performance synth ever in terms of flexibility and ease of editing
Novation KS Rack
-always loved the particular tonal quality of Novation instruments.
Waldorf MicroQ
- could a synth possibly sound more digital? Nevetheless, it's two pannable filters give it a special edge in flexibility.
Korg N5
-sample ROM based, mostly cheesy, can be good for pads, very difficult to program.
Korg EA-1
-fun little synth, limited, but I got one new for $125.
Yamaha TQ-5
-the sequencer is glichy, the presets are poor attempts at real instruments, but if you start messing with the wave parameters, you can get seriously hard edged sounds. I designed a pad where you can press one note and it sounds more spacious, more lush, more God than any preset or sample I have ever heard.
Home assembled computer with AMD AthlonXP 2600 at 2.1Ghz. I mostly use Cubase SL2.2 with numerous VSTi, several of which I designed with Synthedit. I built a fantastic 6 Operator FM synth with a SV filter. Who needs to menu dive a DX7? Right now my system is set so that I compose everything as a live midi performance with all gear running and record straight to two track 96k sample rate master.
I know my computer is pretty slow, but I'm waiting for AMDs quad answer to Core2 to decide which to upgrade to. Then I'll probably spring for Cubase4.
In the meantime, I'm working on a small modular expansion for my Little Phatty: make use of that audio in and CV ins. |

Almost Forgot-
Roland Sh-32
-quirky synth with way too strong filter resonance. But it has it's uses, and a huge swath of effects. |
