so here is the final version. as you might want to recognize: i added standard MTA.100 footprints for almost all potentiometers, switches and jack sockets. the boards size is 4.7 x 3.3 inch (120 x 84 mm). i will post some sound samples later this day.

Hi Fonik,

I had a couple of questions / comments. First off, it looks like you added .100MTA connectors for the pots and switches, but you should try to orient MTA connectors so that the polarizing tab is away from the outer edge of the board. For example, P3 is "backwards." It will still work just fine, but it doesn't really adhere to industry standards. However, that won't keep it from working, so I wouldn't worry too much about that one. Looking at M8, 9, 6 and 11 though, these won't work with the AMP connectors. The .100 Molex connectors are available with crimp pins that allow the wire to come out the top of the connector, but the AMP MTA connectors are an "IDC" style and require that the wire come out the front or back side. As you have these connectors placed, they are all front to back and the wires won't fit. Again, this is only a problem with the AMP connectors, but I like these because they are quicker to put together and are more robust since they don't rely on a separate crimped connection to the contact pin. For a better illustration of how the wires come out of the AMP MTA connectors, take a look at the Synth.com page at
http://www.synthesizers.com/technical.html
About 3/4 of the way down the page, you'll see some pictures accompanying the description of "6 pin MTA" and "2 pin MTA" connectors.

Am I making sense here? Again, there's nothing here that will keep the board from working, but it will be a little more difficult to wire up. Let me know if I'm rambling or being just plain stupid here (it's happened before), but I just thought I'd throw my $0.02 in.

many thanks for the advice, tim. we all are here to learn and too help each other and i am certainly one of those, who have to learn more than others!

actually i wanted to do the layout just according the good old DIY wiring method: a lot of single wires from many different points of the board. but then i tried to do it a little bit better. thanks to your suggestions i will hopefully do just a little bit more better before sending the files to the manufacturer (still not perfect). i will see what i can achieve the next days. i definitely don't want the board to get much larger.

so again many thanks. your comments are highly appreciated.

i made some short samples tonight. they are uncut, just 5min playing around. i used the TH SN Super Controller Module, the TH SN-voice as oscillator and the baby10 instead of a keyboard, which does not matter.

so here some noise. there are three different noise timbres provided by the SCM. the sweep is modulated by the internal LFO, the filter is manually fiddled:
http://www.modular.fonik.de/sound/SCM/noise1.mp3
http://www.modular.fonik.de/sound/SCM/noise2.mp3
http://www.modular.fonik.de/sound/SCM/noise3.mp3

then the LFO modes. first the gated LFO triangle, then gated LFO square and at last a delayed LFO (the trigger comes with each deep note):
http://www.modular.fonik.de/sound/SCM/gatedLFOtri.mp3
http://www.modular.fonik.de/sound/SCM/gatedLFOsqr.mp3
http://www.modular.fonik.de/sound/SCM/delayedLFOtri.mp3

last but not least the s/h. noise1 fed into the s/h, then playing around with noise sweep and filter:

Great examples of the Super Controller. The S/H example is a good demonstration of a key feature. Very Happy
