welcome Ben

you can control the envelope from the sequencer clock and just make the attack slow, no?

Please do not double post BTW, I removed the other one.

I think Jan is trying to say that it is normal to think eventcontrol/eventgenerator as one unit or group in a patch and then the signal generator stuff as one group.
The stepsequencer triggers the event, but the event itself is shaped in the signal part of the patch. So.. think the stepsequencer as a standalone device and the signal part as a standalone synth ( and thus the envelope in this device is the one controlling the attack ).

Shocked

Well, there are other ways to use a sequencer too. You can think of it as a memory bank for voltage values, a waveform generator, part of an algorithmic rythm generator or whatever.. the list is quite long. Abuse is good!

Humor preference as a function of preoedipal fixation

Print ISSN: 0301-2212
Volume: 10 | Issue: 1
Cover date: February 1982
Page(s): 63-64

humor, preference, function, preoedipal fixation

Abstract text
Psychoanalytic theory predicts that humor preference is a derivative of unresolved childhood conflicts. Students' Rorschach protocols were analysed to yield measures of preoedipal fixation. The students were given decks of jokes to rank from most to least funny. Results showed that the ranking of jokes was a function of the fixation measures on the Rorschach for women only but not for men.

A man goes to a psychiatrist. To start things off, the psychiatrist suggests they start with a Rorschach Test. He holds up the first picture and asks the man what he sees.

"A man and a woman making love in a park," the man replies.

The psychiatrist holds up the second picture and asks the man what he sees.

"A man and a woman making love in a boat."

He holds up the third picture.

"A man and a woman making love at the beach."

This goes on for the rest of the set of pictures; the man says he sees a man and a woman making love in every one of the pictures. At the end of the test, the psychiatrist looks over his notes and says, "It looks like you have a preoccupation with sex."

And the man replies, "Well, you're the one with the dirty pictures."

Yes! I want that too, with modulation inputs, please.
We need more self-modulating interfaces.
