Yes friends, I'm back. I am sorry for the absense. Between a technical issue and the freight train of drama in my life recently (which continues, next on the agenda being the removal of all 4 of my wisdom teeth in an act of hot oral violence in T-minus 1 hour and 28 minutes), I havent been able to participate much.

Rather than bother you with all the bad crap (other than the festivities in my mouth), some of the good news includes the completion of the CD (mastering now), production on my second, "The Vast Eventual," loosely began this week, and I've lost a notable amount of weight. Woohoo! Anyway, I'll be recovering for a few days, but I'll talk to you kids soon. Shaka!

yeah i was wondering what was up with cyxeris...

Yes, things are good. It's not so much that things have been rough or bad as of late, it's just that everything has been at an intensified level, moreso over the norm. A few bad, a few mothellwedamneudofopicly good, most biggie-sized with a side order of fatigue and exhilaration to drink. And that doesn't even count the lines of opportunity I snorted in the bathroom.

I'm in the process of rebuilding the studio, this time seizing the moment to up the order of magnitude of my work environment. The Mackie is going on the wall (vertically mounted), 2 additional softsynth machines have been assembled, new monitors coming (Dynaudio BM6A's and BM15A's are dancing towards the top of my list), Sonar4 is due out this month, and many people have christened my return to Middle Tennessee with desires to have me work with/engineer them or their's musiques.

Insofar as AOH is concerned ("you gonna finish that shit or what, son?"), I learned very quickly into mastering that there was no way on God's green earth that I could master audio on headphones, no matter which or what this that and the other I A/Bed it on, and soon after realized the glaring flaw in headphone mixes. Unwilling to let a 2-banana problem like that slip by the QC department uncorrected, I have since remixed 9 of the 12 tracks on the album, and await these monitors for final check and mastering.

Or I could pay someone else to do it, and $1500 buys alot of
