Finally i found out how to use the voices in unison mode.
Raise voices for more unison power!

this patch is set up with 8 variations for 10 voices.

i've updated this attachment

Unison Synth V2 is a couple posts below (32 voices with expanded g2)

Nice patch but it didn't work properly when you hold one key and then play another and then release that second key.. the pitch should slide back down/up to the first note.. instead yr patch was holding that second note.

By moving the mono note module to the fx area and routing the control signal to the VA it works as it should. I also tweaked a couple of routings.

You can set the mono module to "Last" i think thats what your aiming for. i used it on "Hi" for special trigerring with the Lopass filter Very Happy

Does anyone know how to make a polyfonic Unison patch with the "Poly Keyboard and Voice no." output?

i've listened to both, and these both are not real unison like a access virus, nord, ms20, microkorg etc handles unison. I really believe my patch does handles unison as it should. So the more voices you set in a particular slot on your nord the more (in this case)saw's your slot sends through the VA section. the OSC KBD tracking is off and the pitch is controlled with the mono keyboard note module. The detune is the voice no out to the osc pitch input.

But then i once read somewhere that it theoreticly wasnt possible to do polyfonic unison on old analog hardware. So in this case becouse the g2 represents a modular system to make analog emu's that this might also be the case with the g2?

i love the g2ian's patch though but isnt that more like "Chrous" "Ensemble" ?

i think unison should use a lot of voices. thats where it's for and especially for my hardcore leads its a must. the 22 voice unison sawlead(Screach) sounds are great with my unison synth patch and are better than my Access Virus A wich only has 12 max voices. The only thing is that my virus A allows me to play 2 polyfonic notes with 6 unison voices.

I hope we can figure that out on the g2.

i did some more testing and you are right i diddnt notice that yesterday! thanks for the fix Smile

no worries.

I think you could achieve yr 2 note poly unison, if you used one slot to accept midi information (say slot A), set to two note poly and use the voice number to split the send of the control data between two internal busses, one to a slot (say B) for the first voice and one to a slot (say C) for the second. Then these slots (B + C) could be monophonic unison as in the original patch (e.g. set to say 6 note poly) but as you would have two independant versions they would give u 2 note poly.. Problem would be controlling both units in terms of the patch settings etc... as everything would need duplicating. + you would pretty much need to make this a performance rather than a series of patches.

Actually you can probably do it with two Slots.

If you send the voice 1/2 information from Slot A through the busses too it may well be possible to keep the unison synth (say in Slot B) in one slot but still have two voice poly. Though i am just thinking this out at work so no real idea if i am right here.

Here is a fixed version for the Unison Synth

fixed:
volume settings
removed pre envelope
applied i passengers method
removed pan spread

About the pan spread, does anyone have an idea to get a good working nice Unison Pan Spread with this patch?

Great sounding patch.

If you patch in a noteQuantizer as shown, you can knock the VA DSP% back to 22.5% which means you get more voices in the stack (29 on expanded G2).
It works by 'downsampling' the output of the 2 in module to control rate signal, letting the modules connected after optimise themselves.

Thanks for sharing your great patch! Successfully programing 32 voices into a fine sounding patch is a substantial accomplishment. Variation 2 is one if the most exciting in-your-face lead patches I have heard in a while, especially if you play it with keyboard hold activated to drive the bass past. You stick that variation in the bridge of a song and folks are going to quickly realize you ain't playing no electric piano.
