Waves GTR3 Subject description: Update Available. |
 |
|
Waves have just release an update to GTR3 with some new amp models modeled from Neil Citrons collection of amps.
http://www.wavesgtr.com/html/citron_amps.html
Amps are:
Marshall Plexi
Ibanez Thermion
Carvin Legacy
Cleanish and dirty versions are available and also a new cabinet.
Must admit I don't like the sound of them but others might.
Cheers

Well, that's the challenge, innit? If you go for a hardware solution, you can try it out in the shop, or, if you've got a good rapport with the guys at the shop, you can try it out in the studio or rehearsal space or wherever. With a software setup you cant really do that... _________________ Where there are too many policemen, there is no liberty. Where there are too many soldiers, there is no peace. Well it was a free upgrade and there are 32 amps to choose from in total, enough for any man!
Waves GTR3 is actually amazingly good, definitely the pick of the crop when it comes to software amps and cabs, and a lot lighter than most real amps |

There's that, obviously. Being a lazybones, I tend to just hook up my Line6 PodXTLive to the soundcard - via a DI for prefernce and just let rip. If I were to undertake a project with commercial release in mind, I'd probably put in more effort in the sound-shaping part of recording my guitars. _________________ Where there are too many policemen, there is no liberty.
