Hi there,

I want to make the typical wooble bass which is most used in Dubstep. I found a Tutorial to make it with Reasons Subtractor (look here: http://www.mashit.com/category/tutorials/) and tried to do it with the G2. I use the Subtractor.pch2 patch from G2DREAM with some modifys. But it doesn't sounds like the wooble bass.

So which patch can I use for it or someone have a patch with the typical wooble bass for Dubstep?

Thanks for help!

Regards,
Bryan

Sounds like there was some overdrive on his bass sounds that isn't a part of Subtractor. So I think there must be some kind of insert effect somewhere he forgot to mention.

Try dragging and dropping an overdrive effect into the FX area, and messing with it. If that doesn't work, you could try doing the same thing, but inserting it before the filter in the voice area.

Lemme know how that works out for you.

here's another attempt. This could also be closer (especially for synth bass 1) but I don't have any more time to spend on getting the modulation amounts right...

Hi there,

thanks for the answers.

I like the WubBass JG from grimley that sounds great and helps me to improve my patch. The main mistake I did was the Amp Env. It was too short to hear the wobble bass.

So here is the first result of my patch.

Regards,
Bryan

Cool ... Looking forward to trying it out this evening. I've been creating some great dub step basses on my vsynth ... the filters are key. Maybe we should try using some of the custom filters posted here.
