FS : Moog Realistic MG-1 , restored and with modifications Subject description: New sliders and switches, filter cv in, gate in , audio in.... |
 |
|
For sale a Moog Realistic MG-1 analog synthesizer totally restored and modified to increase the power of this great synthesizer.
These are some of the works that I made on this synth :
* General cleaning inside and outside, keys....
* Cleaning the famous sticky foam
* All the sliders and switches have been changed for new ones
* The three potentiometers have been cleaned internally
* All knobs have been changed
* Take it off the old RCA connectors and changed them for Jacks 1/4"
* New Thermal Grease on the Tempcos and Power supply
* PCB cleaning
* The synth has been mode to increase the signal/noise ratio, now the synth has louder out ( without any distortion at maximum volume )
* Added Audio IN to the filter ( now you can filter external signals)
* Added Filter CV In to control the filter with external signals like ADSRs, LFOs from modular synths etc
* Added a Gate IN because it has S-trig IN , now you can use it with almost any Midi to CV converser and it's more easy to control with all analog sequencers.
* New internal dust protection
* The synth has been re-calibrated
* The synth has been converted to European voltage ( 220V )
Price : 650€
The buyer pay the shipping costs
These are the pictures of the synth and the restoring process :

Nice resotoration on the MG-1. I too did a restoration to an MG-1 (which I bought for £50) a few years back, got rid of all that 'goo'! But I must say I sold it on for £170 (about 180 euros). Good luck for trying to sell it for that price, but bear in mind that you can get a whole lot of other stuff, for a lot less these days. 650 euros would get you a lot of lovely Bridechamber kits or even a second hand Nord Modular (or two) etc _________________ ACHTUNG!

Ok, can be that you were lucky to find one soooo cheap, but now the MG-1 are selling on ebay USA for more than 300€ without any restoration, add to that price, shipping costs, taxes and 100€ for the "Technology Transplant" kit to change all the sliders, switches and knobs... and you could see that 650€ it's not a high price...
I'm not selling an "AS IS" synth , and selling a fully working and restored MG-1 . |

| Really nice work. I'm ashamed to say I don't have a Moog in my studio yet, but you bet your bonzagas it's on my wish-list. Just not sure which one I want. |

| I bought the Moog/Realistic MG-1 off Thalassa, and for future reference I would like to state that his service and reliability are exellent. Dealing with him was straightforward and quick, and the synth arrived with me in perfect condition. |
