welcome system700!

I don't think there will be any difference when running the G2 editor on OSX 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6. The thing they fixed in the latest version was running native on Intel processors (Universal binary), but that will work the same in all foreseeable OSX versions.

Thanks Antimon Laughing

I just thinking to buy a G2 but i am afraid that i cant use it of a long time. Mostly i love to play around with it and remake the patches with my Hardware Stuff.

Maybe i did not understand it right but wasn't 10.6 the step into 64 Bit for OSX?

Normally this is when every Software Company have to update there Products?

Sorry i am really new to Mac but so far i am also very happy with it!

Aha... ok, I may have been a bit too fast answering then, didn't know that 10.6 was going to be 64 bit. I think it would be a bit harsh to make a new OS that isn't compatible with programs that worked on the previous version, but others may know better.

10.5 is already basically 64 bit.

I am sure 10.6 will break some things, 10.5 did after all.

I would have thought the editor would be pretty safe though.

Hi,

Does the G2-editor work without problems on a Mac running OSX 10.6?

(I've been thinking about getting a G2 for a long time and just might actually do it. Don't want to start off with compatibility problems, though)

I've heard reports (from a thread on 99musik.se) of good results running the G2 editor in VMWare Fusion on OSX. It's an extra thing to pay for though.. plus you need a Windows license. :/

one thing. i ve rosetta support installed.. dont know if that is essential for the editor to work.. but in case some have trouble with the editor and 10.6 its might be related to the absence of rosetta support..whatever that is Wink
