Midisport ports names

Hi,

I know its not a NM issue, but i guess there are many users here that use midisport so thought maybe someone could help me out. hope thats ok.

I disconnected all my gear to get things orginized. now the name of the ports has changed to 'USB Audio Device (2)'. same name for ports A and ports B.
since than my NM1 keeps getting error, the editor cannot find the hardware.
the manual says that if ill install the optional drivers, than the name should change from 'USB Audio Device' to 'Midisport 2x2 Anniv'.
ive uninstalled everything related to the midisport and disconnected it.
installed the drivers and the firmware. after installing the firmware im getting an error massage saying that the name is already in use or something like that. than i connected the midisport and still get the same 'USB Audio Device (2) name.
ive tried only installing the drivers and only installing the firmware. nothing works.

any ideas?
