When I quit the chat room last night, streaming wasn't working. Did you manage to get it fixed? What's the outlook for today and tomorrow? _________________ Antimon's Window

Actually there has been something to test out for most of the event day yesterday, but nobody from the venue cared to visit the chat so they were not aware ... i must assume that there is no interest in having the festival streamed, i'm sorry about that. _________________ Jan

hi, unfortunately the ports to stream are blocked, paul and howard have put in a request to get them un-blocked but it is unlikely to happen in time for any live streaming
we are trying to get everything recorded for later use, hopefully we can have a radio version of the festival, maybe next weekend _________________ Jez

We set up re streaming externally over physical port 80, why did no one bother to test that? _________________ Jan

We've all been extremely busy actually, Jan, and after getting the helpdesk ticket ignored all day we concentrated on recording the events and making sure we saved them. When we were ready to test it, Thomas had to go and you weren't there yet.
I still can't get on chat via colloquy. They have some kind of central (to all YMCA camps) IT infrastructure that runs through a proxy server. The camp director found me this morning and said that the IT director called her last night and left a message that he understood what we are trying to do, I will be on the phone with him soon. Once I get to talk to someone who understands what we're trying to do and can help us, there's a better chance we can get streaming going.
We are literally in the middle of nowhere, technology wise. There is almost no cellular phone service, there is no cellular data service at all, and the internet access is only via wireless. If we can connect it should be good as I'm testing upload speeds on port 80 of in excess of 1.2mb/s.
There is nobody technical on site to help us get what we want, the camp director is great but she is as frustrated as we are.
Anyway if I can get on the chat I'll try to explain more. And if we can't do this any other way than port 80, we'll set that up in the next couple of hours. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Thanks Paul, the bit of me not being there is not entirely true. Thomas gave me control over his server to be able to experiment, and that is what I did - after that, all contact was lost with the venue; so I just had to sit here trying to contact people to try another workaround and no one seemed to bother anymore.
Anyway, thanks to you trying it we now now that the last external trick we had wont work either, just hope that the local IT road will work at some stage.
Sorry it was all getting pretty frustrating without any contact. _________________ Jan

We can probably do a VPN tunnel, I don't know if that will help. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.
