Subject description: NORD 3 / FILTER 2

Hello, I own a Nordrack 3, bought it 2nd hands, and have it for a while now, but I wonder if there is a way to test if everything works correct. I've got the
feeling that the 2nd filter/Distortion is not working like it should.
Is there a way to test this?

Most patches with the 2nd filter/dist. seems to sound glitchy sometimes.. is this a common thing or is the 2nd filter / dist not working propper?

Maybe someone has a patch wich uses the 2nd filter/Dist with mod (modulation wheel or LFO routed to the 2nd filter/dist), and can upload a midi file (patch nord 3) and a wave fiile so I can check if it sounds the same
I can check if it sounds the same.

Or maybe it's a common problem?

Thanx

Why don't you post an mp3 with the sound you think is glitchy?

I've run this test, and doesn't seem to have any errors, but will still upload a patch and a .wav just to double check it.

TEST

There is a test program inside the NR3. Please note that improper use of the test program or powering off the synth during a test can result in malfunction of the synth.
The test program may only be used by qualified service personnel and is actually not intended for end users.

That's why it is unwise to publish it here! Service Manuals are not in the open apart for proper use in service stations.

Hmm... If my Nord has a bug or failure, I don't think I want to know... I'm pretty happy with it as it is. Smile

Well then just delete the whole topic. Don't know why it's such a big issue. Everybody can get this info. Thought it would help.

I think the topic is still useful without information about how to run diagnostics.

The thing is Clavia releases this info to people under a non-disclosure agreement only, and as such I don't think this forum should make it public. It does not matter for that if it is all over the internets or not.

Are you saying you get the info from Clavia or from a distributor?
I don't mind, but I know there is a non disclosure agreement and electro-music.com has a policy about these things. Anyway, the fact you can use the service manual doesn't imply everybody should be able to do so. If you had published the name and e-mail address of your contact where to obtain the info, even if it is Clavia itself, no problem, but please don't publish it on electro-music.com.

No hard feelings, but it is our policy.

You were ahead of me, Jan Smile
There is no need to sign for the NDA, only a given word not to do so.
