I want to use ableton and run another DJ software program inside it like Deckadance. Questions fill my mind:

Have you used anything else besides an apple product and found it to work well?

What apps have you used for that non-apple device?

What app do you think is best for the iPad?
- for ableton live?
- for deckadance / tracktor / etc. ?

Is there any app out there that can currently control ableton and a dedicated DJ software like deckadance at the same time?

If not, can you go back and forth between apps to control both on the same ipad/other hand-held computer device?

How do you connect the iPad to be used as a midi controller?
I've heard that you don't need to bring a wireless router to use it. Can a ad hoc network be setup on both Windows and OSX? Or do you know of any programs that would do this easier?
Have you ever had it drop out while performing?

If you use an iPad or other similar computer hardware, how do you use it for live performance? (playing live melodies, beats, etc.)
