Sound Lab Patched or Normallized version? |
 |
|
Hallo Crew,
maybe this is a stupid question but I'm not really use to with patching in general especially with synths.
So, I intend to finish my double Sound Lab in both version (patched and normallized all in one). Is it a good idea or not.
Please any advice should be very appreciated!

ok, I will try to express myself with my perfect english
I know that a patchable sinthesizer allows the User to connect its own modules each other or with external modules (other synths).
I can see that Ray foresees for the patched version, numerous input and output on the Sound Lab circuits but how they must be used without make damages into some of the components?
Can I plug everything to everywhere? .... I'm little bit confused!
Is nobody out there who kindly should give me a little lesson in "how to control synths by patching?
Maybe you know where I can read some manuals or web-pages regarding that stuff.
....Please help those who do not understand binary
Thank you

Sorry, I haven't built these particular synths before, so I can't answer your question with authority. I just didn't want you to feel ignored. There seems to be a small community using this Sound Lab forum. Maybe it will take a while before someone checks the forum for new posts.
I do have some experience with normalized patch panels. The normalized connections are used when there is nothing plugged in to a particular jack. For example, the modulation input to the filter might be normalized to the output of the ADSR (envelope generator). You can still plug in anything else, internal or external, to the filter's modulation input.
The normailzed jacks are a conveniece - they do not reduce the patching ability in any way. This is how I would understand it to be. _________________ --Howard

Paolo,
mail me and I'll tell you... I'm in that exact moment of building.
It's easier to show it than describing it (magari col fatto che parliamo la

It is perfectly OK to use languages other than English here, if that would help you. _________________ --Howard
