got some extra NOS (vintage) vactrols if anyone wants |
 |
|
I got a few of these, less than two hundred, from a friend who is getting too old to do DIY audio. They're typical old-school vactrols (no name, model, etc-just white dot). Ill paste the specs from my scope below, but these are getting EXPENSIVE. Ive not seen one for less than 4-5$ (and that only once in while) in quite a while.
If yr in the US ill take 3$ for one, or if you're just starting SDIY stuff and are poor, Ill give you one for free. No postage for either.
IF yr in EU or elsewhere, Ill do for 3$USD plus cost of postage for standard letter, whatever that is now.
If no one wants any or can get them for less, no problem. Ill put them on my site later for MORE (haha) but in meantime thought id offer them to ppl here for cheap in case there needed for filters or MFOS mods, etc.
Just PM me if interested and ill get you my info and so forth.
specs from my scope,. etc (average of 5 tested)
On resistnce: @1mA input, dark 32.3kohm & @10mA, 5.49ohm
off resist:(10 secs) 14.44 Mohm
Slope: 18.8
Dynamic Range: 74.4db
Response: (Turn-on to 63% final Ron ) 3.03ms; (decay to 100Kohm) 30.35ms
**Please note I did my BEST to test for these specs but stuff like MS are REALLY hard for humans, even using software to run their hardware, to determine..so use the above as more of a "ballpark" than something you csn expect to exactly replicate (i.e. 'dont call me when yrs doesnt do that exactly')..of course, THAT difference in individual parts is the WHOLE appeal of vintage, analog parts (and the reason ppl care about 'matched pairs', etc)
anyways, lemme know in the next week or 2. After that (say Feb 8th) Im going to put them on my site and charge more.
Hope this helps some people, and, again,
if you are new to SDIY or just getting started, please let me know and ill send you one for postage cost (or just free in US)

nope,(maker name is abbreviated on packaging- ADC-but cant find any references to it, know packaging dates from 1974)-i dont think maker matters tho as long as specs are determined- but if yr into guessing what things are, can I direct you to:
