Got my monome running with ChucK again |

My monome has been collecting dust for a while. I'm not exactly sure what happened for me, but somehow I wanted to try the new monome serialosc driver (back when it was being brought in as the standard way to do things), I found out that that driver didn't work with ChucK because of some technology that ChucK didn't support that the old driver didn't use. Then I found that it was hard to install the new driver again. Then I got a bit grumpy and just gave up.
Then, a year or two later, the new ChucK version with serial support came out, and I got this idea that this might make it able to talk to the monome without drivers. So I went over to the monome forum and asked about that kind of possibility, but it turned out that 95 (a member there) had done a lot of work to get ChucK working with monome somehow, and succeeded. I even had a credit in 95's code because I helped with some array thing here in the forums.
Anyway, I put it on my todo list to check 95's stuff out, and then promptly forgot about it. Until just now.
So I went on the monome site yesteday and thought I'd do the whole serialosc installation again from scratch. Having done all that and seen that the Max/MSP test patch could connect and do its stuff, I thought I might as well have a look in the patch folders to see if there was any ChucK stuff there, not really believing I'd find anything since most monome users seem to use Max.
I noticed there actually was two ChucK applications, and to my suprise and delight they were new ones that were adapted to the new way of talking OSC with the monome. I downloaded the "Game of Life" program and nervously tried starting it... it worked without a hitch!
