16 step sequencer

I build the 16 step sequencer. Its working perfect but had some issues about sync. I find a schematic on this forum and build it to make it compatible with my MFB Tanzbar drum machines and sync works. I want it to start at step 1 when I start the sequence, it starts from where I left it. When I rest it, it goes to step 1 but starts from the next step which it step 2. Could there be something I am missing here? How can I get both sequencers start on step 1? Is there mod possible to take it to step 16 when I reset the sequence so it starts with the next step which is step 1?
