I'm putting the final touches on my first YuSynth VCO, the LM394 version. I noticed when I started placing components that some resistors that on the BOM are listed as 5% are depicted as 1% in the layout image.

Although they're not actually labeled in the image, so I'm not 100% on which one is which without attempting to track the schematic, I've found at least two 10k resistors (one in between the '074s, one right of the '394) depicted as 1%. My question; which is more correct, the image or the BOM? There might be more than those two, I haven't checked too thoroughly. It'd just be good to know which ones are supposed to be 1% and which can be 5%.

Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

I'd use only 1% resistors for my builds but I haven't got every value in 1% and I'm still filling up my store of components, so I'd like to use 5% whenever I can since a) I have a lot in stock and b) they're easier for me to get.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me.

Cheers! Smile

PS. I got a huuuge bag of assorted comps and about 100 Cosmo Moog-style knobs in the mail today! Fun days ahead! Smile

Use 1% where possibile, otherwise go with 5%, it will work! Wink
