Ok, I'm supposed to be doing an assignment, but I've been playing with this for the past few hours!

This is a really nice setup man, really nice. I especially like the different options for variation in the loop (clock dividers, pattern selecters, change controls etc.) and the way the chords/fx follow the bassline. It's a really cool way to set the perf up. Makes me a bit Embarassed about some of my electro/techno patches Laughing

I've made a few modifications to make it a bit more "breaky", hope you don't mind. Also added in a global variation changer, cause I'm running on an engine. It's only really a couple of variations so far, but I'll probably do a few more later on.

I think I'll be playing with this one for a while Shocked

Afro88, I like changes you made. And yes, patch in slot B is really flexible for making weird patterns Smile

This question is very basic but I want to know why one would choose to put the sequencer in the fx section as you did the original slot A example?
Or am I going about and looking at this the wrong way? I maybe should bring this up in general discussion , but this is a perfect example.
Obviously I dont know much about this stuff, perhaps you can help me understand? Again, great work guys , I really like this one, and of course I love the kicks.
Thanks,
Jason Cool

The FX section is monophonic, the voice section is polyphonic.

This means that modules in the voice section need dsp resources for each voice, modules in the fx section need dsp resources only once.

So usually it pays off to put modules that essentially have a monophonic role in the patch into the fx area. Whether a sequencer is to be used monophic or not is of course up to the patch maker.

The fx section is called as it is because usually the effects on a patch are essentially monophonic (one effect perating on al voices simultaneously). But this is just a rule of thumb, you are free to do otherwise.

Jan.

Wow, I LOVE this perf. So radically electro-funkified and groovy!

the synth and drums work really well in so many permutations and the whole thing pulls me in and hypnotizes... shakng2

I particularly like variations: Slot A/3 with Slot B/4.
