Yes you did and there's a great philosphical lesson: when you are missing the point you do not notice untill you relise and then one no longer misses the point unless one chooses to delude oneself.
This (below) shows that you have missed my point here and I don't like coming accross as a nit picking asshole but I like being misunderstood even less. I hope that's clear, I just want this idea I've had to be clear.

Another Idea : If you connect Y points with a packed resistor array , the X output can also send a random (or digitally controlled) Control Voltage to feed another VCO...
Resistor arrays contains matched resistors, simple to solder in parallel and easy to find in electronics garbadge... |
A fun little concept and it would work but the whole point of my circuit was to look at things in a different light, DEFY CONVENTION! That's what I'm doing here, my idea is not to look at/use the multiplexor as a device to channel signals or voltages around, but instead as a programmable gate in which the 3 binary control inputs are your gate inputs, the 8 channels are the logic levels for each combination and the common connection is the output.
Audio frequency on the binary controls gives you the best results when combined with LFOs on the channels, nothing is "out of control" everything is perfectly as the programmer decides. The whole idea is to give only those fragments you mention in your initial message, they are the combined gate results of the three inputs.
Now do you see, DO YOU!? _________________ As a mad scientist I am ruled by the dictum of science: "I could be wrong about this but lets find out"

Had a lot of fun with this circuit, had to make it patchable, sounds great
