I am trying to learn programming MAX
this is an attempt at a 2 voice random instrument controllable in real time by a conductor. excuse my untidiness Embarassed any suggestion is welcome Very Happy

Beuh,

just discovered I can sight-read Max-patches. Not good, must get sleep.

Looks like a random style patch Wink Cool.

A quick suggestion to avoid the spaghetti code, would be to use the shift-button when making cables... nice and tidy 90 degree angles. Select some objects that should be aligned, and from the right-mouse button menu select Align... tidy-tidy-tidy Wink

Even better, use 'p' (for patcher) objects, and group related stuff together. Make inlets and outlets with... tada: 'inlet' and 'outlet' objects. Even more tidy! Just like subroutines!

And for random-yet-repeating sequences, try out the 'urn' object. Always fun.

diskonext you are right but, you know, I am Italian so I have been accustomed to spaghetti since birth Shocked anyway to make you happy I edited my patch Very Happy does it look any better Question
