Hello guys,

I need to add a sawtooth wave to my triangle core VCO design. Anyone, can advise a simple and reliable design? It could shape from triangle or pulse/square wave. Thanks.

There are several triangle VCO designs on the web that include a triangle to sawtooth converter.

Google is your friend.

I did it already. I have found just Ian Fritz Triangle VCO which is close to what i need. Anything more you could advise?

Thanks a lot. I have tested this Roland 100m circuit in reverse in LtSpice and get some great results. I did some adjustments and get rid of a saw glitch. Unfortunately, this works less perfect in real life, on a breadboard. This thing is booth signals - a square and triangle MUST have exactly the same amplitudes, frequencies and be in perfect phase. Otherwise, it gets messy and even no ramp output. So that's why I'm looking better and stable solution. Ian Fritz design looks very sophisticated though. Thanks.

The desire for a perfect tri to saw converter is infinite, but alas, there is no such thing.

The best you can get is to follow the schematic precisely and be diligent when making adjustments.

Use a slave saw VCO, synced to the same voltage as controls the triangle. Then you get a perfect wave.

I think the Polyfusion or Aries VCO used this method. You only need the integrator. If you can acces the post-exponential converter current (add an extra transistor) even simpler.
