In Wren, audio setup .. where you select the audio devices to use too .. I did change the window title I guess .. I sometimes loose track with what I released and what i have here to experiment with
Also .. when you have a 64 bit OS .. better dowload the 64 bit version, it performs way better. _________________ Jan

Usually I dont use BPM stuff in my patches .. but there may be an LFO or a couple of them controlling the speed.
Almost any LFO can be set into BPM mode btw, but there also is a dedicated clock module on the LFO page (ClockGen) and when you want to sync to MIDI clock you can do that by using the MidiClockIn module from I/O page to control LFO's and Delay's with;
Then there ae a couple of modules to derrive rates from the MIDI clock in module: on Ctrl1 page there is a RateConverter and on the Utility page there is a Tapper module, both have a slave input which can be connected to the MIDI clock in module's master or m output.
Then the tapper module can be auto tapped as well, by feeding an LFO into it, and it can then be clock master just like the MIDI clock in module .. except that on the tapper that output is called slave instead of master ... oh well :-)
But you will have to patch that stuff for that, there are not many hidden wires in Wren.
However when you want to set the LFO rates globally, there is a hidden wire for that - in top tool bar there is a field where you can set the Reference A, notes/oct, octave span, the middle note and .. r.rate .. a multiplier value for LFO rates, type 2 into it and all LFOs will run twice as fast, 0.25 - four times as slow.
There are a couple more hidden wires for variations, randomization and stuff like that ...
When you click on a module and then hit F1 you can get some help - not always accurate, but there is some, it will be opened in your default browser, and you can just look around there too as if it were a sort of a manual for the modules.
When you type ctrl+f you can type a search term - by default search will be performed on the patch and on the module selector, but you can set a preference for that in the Settings screen (F3 key, F2 to go back to the patch) .. o .. and once there you may want to customize some other settings as well ... like disabling the annoying patch changed wanna save dialogs ... anyways .. when you want a module like say a reverb .. hit ctrl_f then type verb and the module selector will only show modules with verb in it .. you can hit Escape to clear the search field.
Also .. there is a FAQ ... https://bluehell.nl/wren/#faq for some common issues.
Also, all Wren's settings are stored in wren.ini amd in the looks sub folder, so if you make a copy of that file and of that directory .. and you mess up with options you can just quit wren, place back the copies and restart wren.
Next release .. don't know yet .. but .. the change log is getting a bit long already .. so probably within a couple of weeks. _________________ Jan

I saw in the "Found/Fixed Issues~Changes~New Modules" mention of no modules being shown without a tab selected. You can see this by shift+spacebar. |

I looked at the specs for mythfx's laptop, plenty of CPU there, kinda jealous, especially at that price point.
Wren64 is running pretty good on the old tower here, but just as a senseless test, I had a simple patch opened but stopped, and opened an instance of every filter un-wired off to the side and hit RUN and got nothing but clicks. Quitting and restarting didn't solve that, but not being a total nob by doing such things seems to work. |

Ok .. space bar issue fixed (-:)
Now a quick coffee and back to making icecream ... a sweet red one with red fruit and a bitter one with "jeneverbessen" (juniper - as also used to make gin, or jenever (genever in old dutch spelling)).
Hmm .. could have added some coffee to that one too ... next time maybe :-) _________________ Jan
