Okay... so I've been doing (almost) weekly livestreams on streetjelly. It's my Sunday Night Sax & Synth Sessions (www.streetjelly.com/noahpeterson).

Mostly it's a jam night. I try and come up with cool grooves, loops, and have some fun with my gear. I also record the sessions. I want to hear the patches, the balance, the ideas.... see if I did anything cool. Sometimes it's really cool and sometimes, it's really not. So it goes.

Anyway... I've been collecting some highlights and thought they were good enough to put out. I figured if I liked them enough to keep listening to them, maybe someone else would as well. So I edited a selection of them, gave them a mix and the release is coming out tomorrow.

This is the first from that release, it's called "Burner." It's a 16 beat loop. Beat came from the Kaoss pad and has a filter on it. Bass line came from the Moog Subphatty, arpeggiation and some of the lead from the Novation Mininova, other lead lines from the Korg Minilogue. I'm playing with the cutoff filter quite a bit during the leads.

I like this jam. It's got a cool little hook, I like feel that's dark and moody without being too much, I really like the patches. I hope you like it as well

New Music Monday!

It's out - Two Lefts and a Right.

Nine tracks (48 minutes) of groovy synth jams. There's some sax and vocals on here as well. But it's mostly beats, loops, and synthesizer.

This was a fun little jam. I like the hook quite a bit and the simple chord progression. I think it gels together quite nicely. The video footage is from a little excursion out to Rocksprings, TX for a little outdoor fun. Couple of nights under the most star-laden skies I can remember seeing, a little ATV time, campfire, maybe a bottle of scotch was there, and grillin' bacon in the morning. Good times.

New Music Monday! Here's a brand new release from Widespread Noise.

17:37 of relaxing sounds and beautiful footage. Make sure a save it in your favorites and playlists. When times get a little stressful and you need to reset and refocus, tune in and get grounded.

The footage was shot on the front of my kayak with a GoPro at Canyon Lake near the dam. I enjoy a nice paddle on the water during a hot afternoon. It's great time to relax, have a cocktail, get a little exercise, get some sun, and still be producing content! I put the video on and sat down at the synths to make a soundtrack for it. I dialed in some patches and pressed record.

I enjoy watching this video quite a bit. I hope you do as well.

This track is rather unusual. Instead of "making" this track. It was more of a happy accident. I was editing and mixing some other stuff Matt and I had been working on. And I wasn't liking how some of the backgrounds were clashing with more prominent elements in the song. I finally took this entire track out of that mix. But I liked it much better by itself. I thought it stood up well and had a lot of good continuity so I put it out as an ambient single. Enjoy!

Kinda of weird saying new music from Noah Peterson. Pretty sure we all know it's me... but I have different entities that I release stuff under, so I guess it's necessary.

Anyway... Obviously I'm on a house music kick that isn't going to end anytime soon. I'm doing a fair amount of live streaming and recording those jams. This is another from those sessions.

I feel like I'm getting some of my patches dialed in quite nicely. I do see that there are some things I'm regularly going back to. I think that's fine for the time being, but I'll need to be aware of how much I use them.
