Hi there, i don`t know how busy this forum is, but i need some help.
I`m using a G2 engine since a long time on a Win 10 machine and since a few months i get some crackles while turning the knobs in the editor. It began by regularly freezing the whole editor, but after starting the editor in compatibility mode (XP) the freezes were gone. But the audio artefacts/crackling stayed. i also switched the USB cable and the ports (from usb3 to usb2) but it still crackles while turning knobs and move modules. My guess is that it is the usb chip in the engine or the grafics driver of my i9 9900k intel on board grafic. do any of you guys know some solution to this or any hint to solve this problem?
Does Clavia restore the usb chips on the engines as service when in need?

thanks for your help!

It might be a ground loop issue ... when the PC is used for both controlling the G2 and for generating audio ... in that case a USB isulation thingie would solve the issue.

https://electro-music.com/forum/post-366246.html may give you some ideas.

Hey Blue Hell,

thanks for your suggestion. This could really be the case as i have some other power related issues too (interrupting usb when switching on a Microwave I...)
I ordered a usb isolator and will see....will report back here.

all the best to you so far,
mo
