AgentA ran a thread over at ic-musicmedia "Any weirdos around here/seeking adventurous music". I thought I'd post a list of those responding for anyone to check out that might be interested in something different. Those on the list are self described 'adventurous weirdos'. In order of response, including genre & a subjective blurb to help you make your way...

nervegasm - electric - dark electrobeat to smooth ambience http://www.ic-musicmedia.com/artist_pages/artistpage.php?id=41189

Richard Dunlap - electric - light, airy jazz quality - put me in mind of Jansen/Barbieri, but I particularly recommend Shoveling Dogs Blowing up the Bed for something different - cool piece! http://www.ic-musicmedia.com/artist_pages/artistpage.php?id=39628

Radio Orphans - unclassified - back to the basics/beat/samples http://www.ic-musicmedia.com/artist_pages/artistpage.php?id=40068

redstarrising - industrial rock- good grooves with edge 'n energy http://www.ic-musicmedia.com/artist_pages/artistpage.php?id=36328

ink1 - electric - spoken word with a couple of tracks that really kick it - worth the risk http://www.ic-musicmedia.com/artist_pages/artistpage.php?id=38648

droll - experimental - eclectic & wonderfully strange! http://www.ic-musicmedia.com/artist_pages/artistpage.php?id=34988

djox - electro - interesting sound palette, good sharp mix - and it's all done on a laptop! http://www.ic-musicmedia.com/artist_pages/artistpage.php?id=47309

kulardenu - fun punk - this guy is nuts http://www.ic-musicmedia.com/artist_pages/artistpage.php?id=35209

42 - electric - focal throb with a good mix of samples http://www.ic-musicmedia.com/artist_pages/artistpage.php?id=45208

Snapshot - illbient - this being the latest from AgentA - subtle sonic events shaping a diffuse ambience http://www.ic-musicmedia.com/artist_pages/artistpage.php?id=44348

It's a mixed bag, but with many rewards. Happy exploring! Cool

THX. I will check those out ASAP. This reminds me that CAN will issue a CD ( or DVD?) of 5.1 surround mixed CAN songs. From what I hear people say, this will be a lot of familiar material but in different versions. And the mix an sound quality is supposed to be excellent.

I've posted this sort of topic on other mp3 host site boards in the past but have yet to be as well rewarded by the responses as at IC. Thanks for co-piloting and expanding its profile by this post Mezmer. Cool

I'm extremely pleased with IC and heartily recommend it to EM members!
and hey gang, If you or when you have an IC url please post it here! Thanks! Or would that be redundant since I can easily check the online music and introduce yourself posts? Yes, I'm about to enter my depressive stage of manic-depression so I guess I'm seeking convenience.
