Request: G2/G2X MIDI over USB !

That would be sooo nice if the G2/G2x would pass MIDI in/out
via it's USB port... just like a Virus TI ot Yamaha Motif.....

It would be wonderful with people who use it straight USB on a laptop,
(or for people like me, that have too much MIDI gear for my MIDI interfaces..)

And I m sure it wouldn't be hard for Clavia to implement,
it s almost there !!!

I can't see why the processor, which is already connected to the USB and the MIDI (it reads from and sends to both) can't send MIDI info over the USB. The best would be if it could get MIDI over the USB and send it out the MIDI jacks. That way the G2 could be run from MIDI-USB and become a MIDI interface for non-USB MIDI gear. This can't be too much of a load on the internal CPUs, standard USB-MIDI interfaces have little or no brains to them.
