Hello boyz'n'girls! I have a question mainly for the modular-freaks in here! Wink
I have a track in my HUGE Trance collection that is written and produced by Ralph Fridge... The name of the track is 'Angel'. This particular track draw my attention again these days because it has some AAA OOO e.t.c. vocals inside. Well, from what I've seen in a video @ a greek music channel like Mtv, these vocal seem to come out of an (I think analog) synth that looks like V-Synth (the Roland's one...). And my question is: Could these vocals be produced by a Modular with the help of noise oscs, filters, voice filters fx's and stuff like that or they are just sampled? Confused

With overdriven electronic greetings!!!
Mario

....in the 1.4 demo software, there is a preset called "clavia" that says (you guesed it folks) "clavia". i'll attach it here, but it's copyright info is in the patch..moderators, feel free to delete it if appropriate.

[moderator: Thanks for the heads up about the copyright, but Kees is a member here and I suspect he doesn't mind this patch being reposted. Kees, if I'm wrong please let me know. --mosc]

Mr Ken Elhardt has done some great work synthesising vocal sounds.

See here for whole topic

No example patches but impressive results.

Not to beat a dead horse (I think I've mentioned this before), but a good fixed filter bank, maybe something modeled on the Moog 914, would be very useful for these kinds of patches.

And there's the "Coffee" patch, you can find it on Rob Hordijk's pages in the "Kees van der Maarel" folder.

Didn't it say stroopwaffel, too?

I haven't been to this list since May of last year.

Thanks g2ian for referencing my examples.

But for completeness, I also have an Alesis Ion example of experiments I did in emulating Tomita's Mellotron choir sounds with numerous subtle variations. Filesize about 2.2 MB.

hi ken,
if you have spare time, I hope you will take a look to Progsounds. I've put your demos on Alesis section Smile

Cheers,
Luca
