In order to get sound from my sound lab w/o a CV controller Ray said that yes, I can attach voltage source from say a battery eliminator to the cv input(although it will be only one note being held down,Right?) Well I finished my SLMS last night but was not able to produce any sound. The problem I think is that mabye because I'm using a 9v batt. eliminator and that is higher (9v/9octaves) than the range that the synth has. I could be way off base as I'm a noobie but I would like to know if anyone has any thoughts before I delve into the innards looking for a misplaced wire. Muhas Gracias!!!!!!!! Very Happy

the sound lab can produce sound without any CV inputs , you have to turn the filter to the far right and turn it up in the mixer etc, you could have blown somthing putting in too much voltage to the CV input

Well Ray said it would work, and the voltage source is a 9v batt converter. And even if the voltage was too high wouldn't the zener stop any damage from occuring? But just to make sure, do you know where to start tracking down any problem?

9V could have the oscillators produce a frequency beyond hearing range (>20 kHz). Unplug the battery eliminator, turn the cut off frequency way up and turn up the volume of the oscillators in the mixer.
