Ethernet MIDI sync?

A while back there was a post about a third party app that enabled MIDI sync between two computers using an ethernet connection. Anyone know what it is, how it works and where I can find it?

If you have a fairly recent mac with OSX 10.4x,then this is already catered for by the OS. Very Happy

Really......you mean I can run a software synth or Reason on a separate computer and MIDI sync it to a computer running Pro Tools?

You set up a pipe between two machines using ethernet. Apple probably has a white paper somwhere in theiur developer section?

The Tiger version of the Audio-Midi setup app has a network tab and that is where you set up outgoing and incoming ethernet pipes for midi.

OK.....I get it. Thanks for the info and articles. I can't run Tiger right now though as the audio interface I'm using; a Digi 001 with PT 6.1, isn't compatible with Tiger. It's always about CPU compatibility these days. Rolling Eyes
