Hi Tony,

I'm not a ChucK user so I can't help you with the installation problem, but try posting your question at this link.

http://electro-music.com/forum/forum-140.html

This is a section of the forum just for ChucK. I'm sure someone in that section can help you.

If you have time, could you tell us some more about what's happening with electronic music in Indonesia? I know nothing about the scene. That should probably go in the "introduce yourself" section...

Welcome!! welcome

James

Tony .. hello!
i guess now you can use chuck.. no need to compile from source for now
because you've already got the binary (exe) running on your windows now.

have you try using chuck with the examples?
see the example directory in chuck-x.x.x.x directory
possibly 'basic' examples would be nice because they'll play synthesized sounds immediately.

in /chuck-1.2.0.7/examples/basic you'll see foo.ck, foo2.ck
those would be nice examples to start hearing things from chuck
let's try by going to that directory in cmd.. (command-prompt)
and chuck foo
or chuck foo2
or chuck foo foo2

i also recommend using miniAudicle
so you'll get an easy-to-use chuck editor and also an interface to
add and remove shreds.

Hey, Toni, welcome on board!

As Kijaz said; you already have the ChucK executable and don't need to compile it yourself. chuck.exe should be in the bin directory of your chuck folder.

If you copy that file to the system32 directory in your windows folder you should be able to access it from the comand prompt, no matter what directory you are in.

From there on you should be fine, happy ChucKing!
