ABOUT POSTING CODE PLEASE READ. |
 |
|
Fellow ChucKists,
When posting code to the board (please do, it's fun!) remember to tick the box to disable html (first option below your text entry field.
If you don't the board will think some of the <triangular brackets> are a part of some html tag. This will first confuse the board, then all of your readers (and listeners, hopefully) as well as the ChucK compiler.
On a related note; the "code" tag should help in keeping code more readable.
Shouldn't the code tag in itself disable html for that part of the post? Erm, yeah. It's not perfect... Yet . _________________ Kassen Last edited by Kassen on Wed Jul 02, 2008 4:55 am; edited 1 time in total |

I've added the .ck extension to the forum so ChucK code can be uploaded as attachments. That's probably the safest way to do it. _________________ --Howard

Recomendation;
If you don't care about HTML (BBcode can do all that stuff as well as far as fora are concerned) and do care about ChucK it's convenient to go into your profile and disable HTML in your settings.
From there on you won't need to keep remembering to click the "Disable HTML in this post" box. _________________ Kassen |

Good tip Kas (as an interested noob I'd prefer to see the code readable and not as an attachment). _________________ Jan

Code Attachements Broken |
 |
|
Hello,
I noticed from revisiting this old thread
http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-14237.html
...and trying the code attachments further down in the thread, that they are triggering an error. Such as this one:
http://electro-music.com/forum/download.php?id=8289
...which makes me glad I did not submit the code I used to start the thread as an attachment, despite its length.
How long have the attachments been broken? Is it just these ones? _________________ <a href="http://www.krazydad.com/">krazydad.com</a> |

We were unaware that there was any problem with the attachments. You are right, these files are gone. I can only assume that they were lost in the great crash of 2006, or 2007.
Sorry.
It was not just these files, it was all attachments save during a particular period. We had a catastrophic crash and the backups weren't good. _________________ --Howard
