Hello - My name's Dave Pape, I produce techno in South London as Memoid, and I've just started making urban field recordings with vague plans to start making some more experimental electronic music based on those sounds.

My favourite kit's my laptop (someone's .sig says "The laptop's the accordion of the future" and they're so right), my Marantz PMD670 recorder, my Soundman OKM in-yer-ear mics, and my Nord Micromodulars.

I also run the website for the Museum of Techno - http://www.museumoftechno.org - which, founded in 1837, is Europe's oldest museum devoted to the art and science of techno. Wink

This year I'm hopefully going to be spending less time on my day-job (architecting and building websites) and more time making music, so if there's anyone on this forum who's got any ideas for field recordings, odd things to do with techno, or 100-year-old drum machines, give me a shout - and thanks to Mosc for setting up this forum and for all the badass useful information about Modulars and Algorithmic Sequencers!
