I found a few Yusynth projects use antilog pots, in particular the S&H and also the Saw Animator. However these pots are extremely hard to source.

Is there maybe a modification I can make to take linear pots, or is there an elusive antilog pot manufacturer lurking in the ether, which I'm evidently unaware of?

Hi:
I think Small Bear had antilog pots.
I usually buy two stereo log pots (the ones that have two PCBs, one in front
of the other), disassemble one of them, I take the bottom PCB and replace the top PCB of the other pot with it. If you are skilled enough you don't
need to buy 2 pots, just switch the PCBs.
Take in account that with the first method you end with one stereo pot with
the top PCB behaving antilog and the bottom PCB behaving log.
If you switch PCBs, both will be antilog.

Both Futurlec and Banzai have rev log Alphas available.

After a little research, it seems you can 'roll your own' (this may be handy for people in a similar predicament), check PDF!

The alternative method, albeit messy; swap the wires on the outer lugs.. The taper will be correct, but the action is reversed.

No you won't get the same behaviour as a rev pot, this is a very common mistake. This roll your on only works conversely to what we need. We need a rev clockwise rev log variation, what you get with described circuit is a an anti-clockwise rev log variation (not the one we need).

Hi, I presume you didn't notice the pdf of the first method?

It seems you only commented on the alternative method, which I know gives reversed action (as I already pointed out; "but the action is reversed"), but it gets the job done provided you don't mind your pot being backwards. However the first method seems to be the best option anyway (provided it works).

The first method is the potentiometric one which does not apply to most of the use of the rev pot in the yusynth modules.
