I'm intrested in making the Sound Lab Mini-Synth but I'm not sure how I would control it. I know it works with the CV input/gate but I have no device to hook up to this such as a keyboard. I read about cv to midi converters but they seem to be really expensive. I'd be willing to make even some simple switch that plays one note only when activated as a temporary solution. I've never built anything as complex as this before so I want to keep my construction as simple and inexpensive as possible. That way if I screw up I don't waste a lot of money Laughing. Any ideas would be appreciated. I noticed I have this pedal with a 1/4" jack (I have no idea where I got it or what it is for) could I trigger a note with this?

You don't really need a controller to use the soundlab, you can control the oscillators' frequencies with the knobs, and use the manual trigger button that will be built on the control panel. You can always add an external controller to it later.

Hope this helps,

Yay I didn't realize there was one. I ordered myself a board so I can make it when it comes.
