To make sure the voltage doesn't
rise above 10V (in AR mode) I added a zenerdiode.

AD/AR question here. What 10V diode is used on the threshold/pin 6? I'm a bit confused by the "10V" ...

You might want to try Rays Guitar to gate circuit: http://musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth_new/HOT_TIPS/guitartogate.php

That looks promising. Don't know how I missed that schem. Thanks for the ...

Good ideas. Starting to get the picture.

1st - a bandpass filter set to the main frequency of the beat/signal you want to sync to
2nd - rectify this signal
3rd - low pass filter followed by a com ...

.. an envelope follower with some level detection after it ..

That may work. What do you mean by level detection?

Ultimately, I want the S10 manual gate button to be voltage controlled. So ever ...

Depending of how much power you need from each voltage, you might be better of with three (separate) power supplies (+4.5volt, -4.5volt, +9volt), because if you draw a considerable amount of current ...

you will have to
add AC coupling caps to in/outputs of the circuit to remove any DC offset voltage.

I understand coupling caps now! At least sort of. I spent the last couple days researching AC co ...

replace the HC types by other CMOS ICs, so you can use 9V. The 4030 can replace your 74HC86. The 4015 has parallel outputs as well, but different inputs than the 74HC164.
I'll check out the 4030 and ...

But if you plan to sink or source from this virtual ground you might be better of with two (or maybe three) power supplies.

Please elaborate what you mean by two or three power supplies?

Maybe you can put a large resistor (100k or more) to ground after the switch, to make that it remains at ground, I did not test this but i think it should work...

Thanks for the reply Kabzoer ...
