FM via analog has indeed always left me with mostly effects type sounds.

But, there's some other concepts along the same line as FM that can be fun, and do work well with an analog modular. Basi ...

I'm troubleshooting a Dual Gated Slew module, and both sections 1 and 2 are exhibiting the same behavior:

1) In LIN mode, the slew time is very short even at values of 1M on P1.

2) In LOG Mode ...

Well, I recently moved and had my modular stored in not so prime conditions (i.e. very humid) for a month.

Everything survived ok, but one of my Yusynth VCO's is now exhibiting a some random drif ...

I think you're just replacing the T-connection on the schematic..so looking at the schematic, remove the T and tie the left side of R43 to the other wiper.

Hey looks great! I look forward to hearing some samples and checking out the PIC code.

If you haven't allready seen Tom Willtshire's page you should check it out. He's done a lot of work with PIC1 ...

I think for the most part, these glitches are inaudible. There are methods for reducing the transition/reset glitches in ramp core waveshapers...but it becomes a design trade-off / diminishing return ...

So you're using a PIC for the exponential conversion and sawtooth generation? That sounds very interesting. I'd love to see a schematic and code for that. Are you generating the wave directly or dri ...

Excellent!!! That looks like museum quality! Great job.

And a nice choice of modules. Could you comment on how you did the front panels?

Thanks Yves. That makes sense. I simulated the voltage divider section in Multisim in order to see if I could figure out the discrepency. As you'd expect...under simulation you arrive at equal resis ...

The problem is that the supply rails are used to generate the octave and semitone offset voltages. Thus, you'll need to recalculate resistors R3,R5,and R7.

After a quick check I would try to chang ...

I'm no expert, but perhaps this will help.

The CMOS switches Yves is refering to are widely available with pretty decent data sheets. Maxim makes nice ones...vishay has some pretty affordable ones. ...

Sure. I actually used the SSM2210. I only called it the LM394 version since that's what Yves calls it on his site.

I got mine at Bridechamber. I can highly recommend them. Scott Deyo does an aweso ...

As I made the first few modules, I bought ten 8-packs of ...
