The manual (the pdf that comes with your download) is badly out of date.

This is unfortunate if you are just starting out but you can help! (and in so doing get a better manual...)

If you chance uppon something not yet covered int he manual or on outdated sections please add them to the Wiki here;

the new manual on the site has the new spellings, doesn't it? i thought it was updated and came with the download.

the other problem is that the manual sucks anyway. at least for someone like me with little oop experience. it's just sort of random and thick-thumbed. i think if i ever figure chuck out (which i am going to try to do by learning some oop languages and coming back) i am going to write a more methodical, linear exposition of the language as a service to other newbies. that's what i would like to do. like "chuck for dummies"
