I've been using it for awhile now, it was only when 3 came out that I really started to like Reason for some... reason! Heh. My stuff is at http://www.myspace.com/brianbotkiller . I also produce on some hardware and the like, and I use Ableton a lot (LOVE Ableton).

I'll check out your stuff!

Did they ever improve the sequencer? I tried to use it a while back but found note editing to be incredibly tedious. That was 2.0 I think, though.

But hey, I think SuperCollider is the coolest thing ever, so plainly I'm just weird Razz

they didn't but you don't have to use it if you run Reason as a Rewire slave and another application as sequencer/Rewire master (I use Logic Pro).

I utilize Reason in Protools 7.2 (TDM) and in Sonar 5 (PC). Even though I understand how to impliment Rewire, I'll also a little confounded about some of the quirks of the Sequencer (i.e. how do you get the sequencer to stop all together? Isn't that want the 'end' marker is for?)

Nonetheless, the answers you may be looking for might be found at Propellerhead.com

I used to use Reason 3.0, until I discovered Acoustica Mixcraft 4.0, which does, essentially, all the same things, but has VSTi support, as well as audio recording, neither of which exists in Reason. Can't beat it for $64.95 ($74.95 boxed CD), and it's much faster and easier to use than Reason, also. I don't even have Reason on my computer anymore.

I bought Reason V1.0 in January 2001. I was a VIP Beta Tester from V2.00 to V3.01, when I dropped it completely, to come back to building modular gear.

Recently though, in searching for a hardware sampler - finding they don't exist any more, essentially, I've reasoned that (pun, sort of intended Wink ) I will have TO come back to Reason to use IT as a sampler for all of my speech sample, Mellotron 'male choir' and Wurlitzer needs. That's all I'll be using it for. (Sample playback.)

LOL. Yep, Rych was waaaaay ahead of us, eh, Seraph? Wink

I find no further use for Reason at all, anymore. I'm too spoiled for Mixcraft now. The only software I still have an interest in is any new VSTi's I can make use of (especially the freebies).

Heh. Wink I've been using that format for dates for quite a few years now. Save's writing and typing time. I get the odd question every now and then. "Didn't you know that this is 2008, NOT 3008???" Laughing
