Last night I attended a concert of the Chick Corea Elektric Band
Two hours of mind boggling, overwhelming, great music.
The group is heavily endorsed by Yamaha: Dave Weckl plays their drums, Frank Gambale their guitars and Chick Corea was playing a Yamaha midified grand piano plus a Motif 8 on top of a Rhodes electric piano. He was also using an old Yamaha KX5 strap on keyboard controller. The cool thing was that the midi data transmission was wireless, and being the KX5 battery powered, he could walk around playing burning lines.
Anyone knows anything about wireless midi?

Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.
MIDISTREAM is our amazing new Wireless MIDI product, it is sold as a complete system, so the price of £399.99 (inc VAT) includes both the transmitter pack and the receiver unit. Systems suitable for use in the UK & EU are now available from stock.
Systems suitable for the USA (North America) are now shipping also.

MidiStream is primarily intended to be used in a live gig situation where it can free the live performer from the constraints of a MIDI cable. It is ideal for use with a portable keyboard such as the AX-1 or AX-7, or for use with electronic wind controllers such as the WX-5 WX-7 or indeed an portable MIDI instrument, electronic drums, accordion etc. Another ideal application is to link a front-of-house MIDI sound or lighting desk to on-stage equipment.
