Hi all,

I got my G2 engine a couple of weeks ago, after having used - and still using - the NM1 for some years. I wonder if anyone has been playing around with the more 'out there' modules yet, like delay shift register, and the AD/DA converters. And if anyone knows of any useful/interesting applications. Or why Clavia has deemed it necessary to include them Wink

Let me start off with one application for the ADC (apart from deliberately bad sounding 8-bit conversion): say you have 4 perc oscillators and one levelseq; run the seq output through the ADC and use it's outputs to trigger the oscillators (the level of each step will decide whether 1,2,3 or all oscillators will sound).

Hi, triptonizer, welcome to electro-music.com. welcome

I think that Clavia is providing these modules as building blocks with no specific purpose. The musician can play around with them and new possibilities will come. I think your idea about using the ADC and the level sequencer is a good example of this. I haven't tried it yet, but the delay shift register might be useful for building a canon generator.
