Hello, I'm a beginner to circuit bending, and so I apologize if this is a stupidly simple question:
I was taking apart my DD-5 from the back, when I realized that to get to the green side of the circuit board to test for sounds, I realized it wouldn't switch on unless connected to the on/off switch which would require the green side to face down. I'm just wondering if there's a way to make it stay on while being able to test the circuit board.
I tried to simply remove the switch and lay it upon where the switch would normally be if it was in "on" mode. Unfortunately this resulted in a broken switch. I know not what to do.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

yeah
just solder onto the brown side of the board. you can access all the same points from there, you don't even need to take it off, just leave the circuit board where it is.

to fix your problem you can find where the power button goes, it should be connecting two points. simply solder a new switch to those points and you should be ready to go.
