The reverb tank I pulled out of the Fender Mixer I got the other day is an Accutronics. Looks like I'll be doing something similar soon.
I reckon this circuit loks the best to start off with: -

I made this reverb http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/forums.html?option=com_content&task=view&id=43&Itemid=26
you pretty much have to buy the recommended tank though, but still with all parts maybe 50 bucks. I still have to box it up and I only used it for guitar, but it sounds nice. And if you go to aron nelsons stompbos forum and search Stage Center Reverb you will find some mods by a guy named Mark Hammer that are very useful. Tone control, Input amount, etc. _________________ "your stripes are killer bro" |

Its a 3 day weekend this weekend so I hope to resist the beer temptation and actually get stuck right into building
I've run out of caps for my pedal projects but have a reel of wire just waiting to be utilized for the board to panel wiring.
Not one of my strong points in regard to tidiness
Fingers crossed! _________________ My DIY and Instrument addiction blog.

Yeah, I'll have a look at that too. I must admit though that what that other guy says about not driving it with an op-amp makes sense. I like the idea of driving it with a 386 or similar, give it more grunt (if needed).
A quiet pickup amp seems to be quite essential too. I've got a few 5532s, so that should work out nicely. _________________ What makes a space ours, is what we put there, and what we do there. |

The champs is basically a simple 386 1/4 amp.
More than enough for driving the springs, its the pickup end that I'm more concerned about.
anyway I'm off to check out zsome 2nd hand gizmos
Cheers

I've done something similar with the addition of a 3 transistor circuite for buffering and reverb make up gain. Its no longer in the synth case as I've attached 2 reverb tanks to my pedal board.
Sorry for the lack of updates of late...
The synth remains unfinished.
I want to re-do the front panels with 3.5mm sockets instead, but haven't had the time. I got side tracked into building pedals for people then my life got turned up side down(including a month or so of severely diminished vision).
Hopefully I'll have some updates soon!
Until then I'll be repairing other peoples problems.... _________________ My DIY and Instrument addiction blog.
